The Horsham Week
Competition is on again! As in recent past years, the competition will be
run at Horsham Aerodrome by a team of volunteers from the participating
gliding fraternity with the lead actors in 2010 being members of the
Grampians Soaring Club.
This year the Victorian
State Gliding Competition will be integrated with Horsham Week with one
entry form and fee covering both events. The previous local restrictions on
water use for ballasting have been lifted so all classes with the exception
of Performance Class (former Sports Class) are now free to fly with
ballast. Refer to Local Rules for links to handicap information.
The scoring at Horsham Week uses the SeeYou
Competition scoring program that provides for a range of tasks to be readily
handled. Remember, only files from GPS loggers will be accepted for scoring
purposes.
It will be the pilot's responsibility to
ensure that the scorer receives the daily flight file from their logger
after completing each competition day. It is in your own interest to ensure
that you have the necessary facilities to independently download your own
logger file and present this to the scorer. However, in exceptional cases
the organisers will assist with the download from your logger if they have
the equipment to do so. |
